Its all in the Making

There is two ways in which this can be done. But both start in the same way.

To start with it is  useful to have a few images or just one which can portray the idea of which you have for the type of costume you wish to have made.

If you are able to come for a consultation:

  • The frist meeting would be to discuss the work involved, and approiximate cost and the time scale.  The prices are all individually depending on your personnel needs and period of clothing..
  • If you are not able to come for a consultation then the above can be done via emails and phone calls.

After this frist stage if you wish to go ahead then I would need a deposit for materials and measurements.

  • If you could come to be measured that is great
  • If this is not possiable then a measurement form can be sent to you.

The frist stage of making would be to make up a "toile" which is a rough version from calico. This will be a base of the frist fitting for alterations.

  • If this is a mail order sitiuation then a dress stand will be padded out to your size so alterations can be done that way.

Depending on the amount of work involved, the costume may take from a few weeks to a couple of months to complete.

All costume are hand made to fit your measurements.
